Why have people put up with life? Whats the point of working to survive? Why doesn't the world commit suicide?

I feel really sorry for you and the fact that you feel that life is a waste. It is human nature to want to survive and succeed. All the other crap that gets in the way, is just that, crap. Life is what you make it, and if you want to be all depressed and down on humanity, then that's your choice. That's what you've chosen to do with your free will. Yes history is full of tragic stories of man stepping on man to get what he wants, but that's history. Leave it be and get on with YOUR life.
