My ex dumped his new gf...I kind of want him for FWB :)?

I dated my ex for a little bit, but it just wasnt working out. He was a good person to go out with, but not "boyfriend material"...Sooo I dumped him..and then he got a new girlfriend about 2 months after we broke up... I never contacted him while they were dating because I didn't want to get in the way of their relationship...but, now they've just recently broken up. I don't want to get back into a relationship with him..i just want to be "friends w/ benefits" possibly... Is that horrible? Should I text him? What should I text him??
