Can i get financial advice on owning rental property like apartments?

ok so im looking at investment ventures and one that looks very promising is owning apartment complexes. but crunching numbers and negotiations and what not are not my forte. first off how would i go about finding a lucretive property? starting out small would be best for me because i see some of these properties go for millions which is understandable, but im concerned on getting loans for such and how many years it would take to pay off and make a profit at the same time. really i need finnacial guidence and advice on these matter from experienced people.
