Weird that he called me back?

we were together for 2 1/2 yrs. been apart for 2 months. ended badly. now we are "strictly ". im okay with that. i still want him in my life somehow. well i called him last night. he said he had company so i let him go. then he ended up calling me later that night at like 10. which is pretty unusual for him. usually hes watchin tv at 10 so that tells me i popped into his head while he was just sittin there. ever since our relationship started going down hill he hasnt really had the need to talk to me. we'd hang out but it wasnt like it use to be. he use to be the one who called me and texted me and told me that he cant resist me. should i just get over him? is there any opportunity left? i miss him a lot.
