Is this a good reason to kill your dog?...=(?

Okay so i'm growing up now and i find it hard for me to keep taking care of my dog while i'm very busy geting my life together so i was thinking of puting my dog at the pound so that way he will most likely die and go to Heaven i didnt want to take him to a no kill pound because i really dont want anyone to have my dog because i just keep thinking of how much he'll miss me and be sad & stuff and the bad things that could happen to him if i give him to a tottal stranger i mean what if the people are eresponsible and lose him or abuse him etc...so as you see i really dont want to take him to a no kill pound but what i'm woundering is if what i'm doing is mean or stupid?
