How many days does a state prosecutor have to file charges before the arraingment?

The courts keep pushing the arraignment date and lawyer says it's because the evidence is not there to put together the charges so, they need more time. I know they can't keep pushing the dates because they have to have a time limit. What is the amt. of days the state has to formally file charges before the arraignment?
